Following recent high water events in the River Murray, pool levels have returned to near normal and the waters upstream of Kulkurna Station up to Lock 8 are shallow with numerous sandbars. The hazardous area extends approximately from 660 km to 732 km markers.
New names have been assigned to the parcel of land formerly owned by the Commonwealth of Australia and known as Inverbrackie. The roads are named Balmoral Road, Inverbrackie Close, Caledonia Avenue, Crest Place, First Avenue and Innes Court, Woodside.
Acts numbered 25, 26 and 27 of 2017 have been passed in Parliament. The legislation is titled Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017, Sentencing Act 2017, and Statutes Amendment (Possession of Firearms and Prohibited Weapons) Act 2017.
