Approval of courses in bee pest and disease management

I, Mary Carr, Chief Inspector of Stock under the Livestock Act 1997, hereby approve the following courses, as developed and delivered by the stated course providers, in bee pest and disease management, one of which must be undertaken by beekeepers keeping 50 or more hives pursuant to Regulation 13A of the Livestock Regulations 2013 as set out in Table A.

This approval remains in place until otherwise amended or revoked.

A Registered Training Organisation registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority or the western Australian Training Accreditation Council

  1. Pests and Diseases of Honeybees

(currently comprising 2 national units of competency:

  • Manage pests and disease within a honey bee colony (current code - AHCBEK313)
  • Apply sampling procedures (current code - FBPOP2066))

NB A Certificate of Attainment is only accepted as valid if it has been issued within the 72 months preceding your registration expiry date.

A Registered Training Organisation, as for 2)

  1. Certificate III in Beekeeping (current code - AHC31818)

NB A Certificate of Attainment is only accepted as valid if it has been issued within the 72 months preceding your registration expiry date.
