Persons Assigned to Work

NOTICE is hereby given that the Under Treasurer/Chief Executive will from time to time employ persons in the Department of Treasury and Finance, pursuant to the Public Sector Act 2009 and such persons will be assigned to work in the South Australian Government Financing Authority.

Take notice that, pursuant to Section 20 (2) (a) of the Government Financing Authority Act 1982, I, Rob Lucas, Treasurer, determine that Section 45 of the Public Sector Act 2009 will not apply to the employment of such persons assigned to work in the South Australian Government Financing Authority to perform the duties of the role of Senior Quantitative Analyst.

Pursuant to Section 20 (2) of the Government Financing Authority Act 1982, I further determine that:

  1. The Under Treasurer/Chief Executive may employ persons employed to perform the duties of Senior Quantitative Analyst in the Department of Treasury and Finance on a term basis of up to three years;
  2. In addition to the grounds for termination of employment under the Public Sector Act 2009, the employment of any person employed to perform the duties of Senior Quantitative Analyst may be terminated by the Under Treasurer/Chief Executive or his/her delegate without cause, by the giving of a period of four months’ notice or payment in lieu. The Under Treasurer/Chief Executive or delegate is not bound to give reasons if he/she terminates the employment of such person on this basis. A termination payment of an amount equal to four months remuneration for each uncompleted year of the contract (with a pro rata adjustment in relation to part of a year) up to a maximum of eight months remuneration is payable to an employee upon termination under such clause.
