The South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival is an innovative celebration of our state’s talent.

Each August, thousands of emerging artists seize this chance to exhibit their work throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia. Featuring a range of conventional and unusual venues, SALA is a unique cultural experience.

The SALA mission is to create and sustain an environment in which local visual artists are valued. This year, the art is as diverse as the creators, with mixed medium works including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, digital media, moving image, glass, ceramics, textiles, and more.

SALA is an effective launching pad for artists and curators to work outside of their training institutions for the first time. The festival reaches far beyond the boundaries of the city, with exhibitions in the Adelaide Hills, Clare Valley, Barossa Valley, Eyre Peninsula, Fleurieu Peninsula, Limestone Coast, and Riverland.

Join the community in supporting and discovering SA’s creative geniuses. For further information, visit the SALA website.
